Photomatic software automatically processes any image into a perfect passport photo. For any country. This is what we refer to as the "AutoCrop" process. After the AutoCrop process the Photomatic software will start a very sophisticated ICAO check. The passport photo is checked on all official requirements for passport photos, as specified by the ICAO, the International Civil Aviation Organisation. The ICAO check is a very important part of the Photomatic software because it will make sure the passport photo will not be rejected when used in offical applications for a passport, driving license of Visa. Not every country has the same requirements for head size and position, background color and the format of the passport photo. Fortunately the Photomatic software keeps track of these special requirements. We know exactly what the preferred background color is and the required face size and position, for each country.
A digital passport photo is a passport photo saved as a file. Digital passport photos are required when you go to online applications such as an online passport renewal. Many countries provide online Visa applications.
You can register yourself as a user through the Register form. This will send a confirmation email to your email address, where you must click on the link provided. After this, you will also need a license to be able to start using the Photomatic Software.
It's very easy. On the Photomatic Software page, select a country template for which the photo is required. Then upload a photo which needs to be cropped for the selected country.
The flags on the left (Image Quality, Face Geometry and Background) will indicate whether the photo passes all the necessary checks. The software automatically adjusts the photograph to best suit the requirements.
However, there are buttons to zoom in/out, and rotate left/right if the manual adjustments are required.
Once the photo looks as desired, the users can choose to either "Print" a hard copy of the photo, or "Upload" the photo to the IDstation.Online. While uploading, the email address is required for the customer whose photo is being taken.
Once the photo is uploaded to the servers, a unique 8-digit code is generated which is shared with the customer. The users can use this unique code to access their photo via our portal IDstation.Online.
Yes. The photo and any other data stored along with the photo can be deleted from IDstation.online at any time. After 6 months the digital passport photo becomes invalid and will be deleted from IDstation.online automatically. We will inform you of this event of course.
We will store the photo for 6 months. Passport photos are invalid after 6 months so we automatically delete it after 6 months along with the other data stored along with the photo.
Simply said, web services are services which are provided over the web. In Photomatic, there are several web services which can be accessed over the Internet to perform several functions. Some of the main services which we provide here are:
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).
It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. In short the GDPR enforces that businesses cannot store your personal data (such as your photo) without your prior consent.
If you have agreed to let that business store your photo they should store it in a secure way (encrypted) while at the same time allow you access to it and allow you to delete it if you may want to do so.
For photo retailers these requirements usually are too difficult to implement. This is one of the reasons why we have built IDstation.online!
GDPR will be effective as May 25th in all European countries. Please refer to their website https://www.eugdpr.org for more information.
